ABOUT DR. ROBERT STEVEN BIANCHI Dr. Robert Steven Bianchi, the owner of MATIMU, received his PhD from New York University's Institute of Fine Arts in 1976. He served as a full curator at The Brooklyn Museum of Art, and has received numerous academic awards and fellowships including a Fulbright-Hayes award for study in Berlin, a Bourse Jacques Vandier stipend for study at the Musée du Louvre in Paris, and a J. Clawson Mills Fellowship from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. He has mounted numerous international exhibitions in the States, Europe, and Japan. He is one of a handful of Floridian art dealers who is a member of the Appraisers Association of America. Widely-traveled and extensively published, Dr. Bianchi has over 325 articles and reviews in journals world-wide to his credit and has written over twenty-five books and contributed to another forty. Dr. Bianchi is currently the chief curator for the Ancient Egyptian Museum, Tokyo.
